On the November, 23-24-29 2005 Francesco Pettinato for student association, in collaboration with WebMusicians.net, organized a musical competition named "Music Art". 14 local band, formed by students, took part to the contest. On the November, 23, were selected 7 groups of which only 3 took part to the final competition: EXENTIA, HISTORIA and LA RESISTENZA(The Resistence).
The group from Brindisi(Lecce), LA RESISTENZA, was the winner. LA RESISTENZA won two days in one recording room with publication of 500 copies of the demo with the winning track of the competition "PAIAVA" (= I would pay).The project scope was to permit the manifestation of the everyone’s being in music, giving to young local groups of students, artistically able, visibility and perspectives. It’s difficult in our life to have the opportunity to exit to outside of the own one "testing room", often represented from a garage or one wine cellar. With this initiative it has been possible to give voice to groups of the Lecce’s athenaeum that could also be new discoveries in musical and artistic field. The judges, competent universally recognized persons in the musical field, (Stefano Sergio Schiattone, teacher, composer and guitar player; Angela Albanese, song teacher; Max Ingrosso, drummer and percussions player; Giorgio Mongelli, composer and guitar player; Gian Paolo Chiriacò, musical critic) selected and judged the 14 groups in contest, decreeing the winner.
